I spent a decent amount of time in the Dark Eye… Hello dear boys and girls, I've a question for you. I just bought Drakensang: The River of Time. It was really cheap, and since I tend to love RPG's of all sorts I just went for it. However: should I play The Dark Eye first? Reviews tell me River of Time was a massive improvement on the first one, in almost everything.

When you resolve the conflict between the pirates and elves its possible to negotiate to get the puff and then initiate the mutiny - sending the pirates off while keeping the puff. It's also possible to get 10 ducats for the puff from the pirates The River of Time is only half as long as Drakensang The Dark Eye. The River of Time is a good game until you get to Hammerberg and then the quality really drops off a lot. You can see they re-used a lot of stuff from the first game and didn't have the time or the money to make the later parts of the game great. Haggle skill only gives you slightly better prices - 1% per skill point - and it is imho not worth it at all. Follow the main quest and Cano will join your group very soon and than you can enter the thieves guild and learn haggle yourself or increase Canos value. Your guide turns up missing at the end of the fight, so your first quest is to find him, since you'll be stuck in the middle of the desert if you don't. I bought both River of Time and Phileasson's Secret at the same time. I have read all of the threads regarding installing RoT first, then running it, and then installing DLC afterwards.

All it says in the recipe (a flaw with all armor recipes is that it doesn't tell you AR rating) is +15 endurance and -10 health . It hardly seems worth it. The game is heavy on quest markers in its quests, and many quests are or can be resolved by simply killing everything. This means the go-there-and-kill method is often the way to go. The game does offer a bunch of minor quests that are not marked in your log and thus lack quest markers, but all other quests are guided on your map. V7y58y.
