1 - 2 of 2 Posts. Hi there, I currently own a 1.4 TSI Highline model. As far as I know there are no oil consumption problems. The older mk6 models with the 1.2 TSI which have supercharger definitely have engine problems, so avoid that one at any cost. 1.4 TSI is single intercooled turbo engine, smooth like butter and quick when you want it to be.
May 25, 2013. #5. Possible Flat spot in 1st gear when cold. Mk7 SE 1.4 TSI 122 - I also have noticed a "flat spot" when pulling away in first gear which is more pronounced when the engine is cold. Its going in for a check on Wednesday so I'll update when I get it back. Otherwise very pleased with my 2 week old car.
My first Mk7 Golf and my current Mk7 Golf both produce the same noise on starting, I haven't let it bother me. Overall I find the 1.4 TSI engine quite noisy, it sounds like a diesel engine compared to a Mk4 2 litre naturally aspirated engine. Just as well the cabin has such good noise insulation. VW Golf mk7 GT DSG 1.4tsi - Auto Hold - skidpan. I have a Seat leon 1.4 TSi Mk3, exact same car as the Golf 1.4 TSi except for the pointless ACT (which Seat now fit). Hill start (presume that is what you mean by Auto Hold) works perfectly, releases as soon as you start moving the clutch pedal. But you say yours is only a problem on the flat. I had the Mk6 1.4 tsi DSG Match and now have the Mk7 1.4 tsi GT, my mileage is @ 10-12000miles/year and if your main consideration is economy/noise the petrol version is probably the way to go, based on your mileage. I find the petrol version is quieter and quicker than the diesel plus petrol is cheaper.

The new Golf Estate opens for ordering tomorrow (2 July), the Golf Estate is available in S, SE and GT trim levels, Four petrol engines are available: a 1.2-litre TSI 85 PS & 105 PS, a 1.4-litre TSI 122 PS & 140 PS It’s the OEM intake air box for the EA211 1.4L TSI engines, you’ll find them in Golfs TSI & GTE (MK7-7.5), Jetta’s (MK6 I think) and I think some Passats/Hybrids. Don't do both muffler and resonator because dsg pop will sound raspy. Combine that with a downpipe and you're looking at obnoxiously loud, unless that's what you're looking for. But with just the muffler delete, it's quiet on the highway, and very quiet in general, but about 50-60% louder than stock.

I'm very satisfied with the DSG7 in our mk7 1.4 TSI. Great gearbox ☺! Golf 7 1.8 TSI DSG Alltrack -18 2011 Seat Leon and now 3 months in the Mk7 and no

I also drove a 2016 Golf 1.4 TSI GT and there was absolutely no sign of any similar noise. I do question now whether all MK7.5 cars could have this irritating sound and therefore did VW use modified components at the rear on the face lifted model when compared to original MK7!
Like you, I don't use cruise control, but do worry that the problem will come to light when I trade the car in. Mk7 Golf BlueMotion Tech SE 1.4 TSI B9 Audi A4 1.4 TFSI rY0Ma.
