The X Type is the worst Jaguar made ever unfortunately. They were kind of cool looking in their baby XJ way but they had few redeeming qualities. Not only did they reset Jaguar’s reputation for quality and reliability back to nearly the BL days after massive positive swings through the 80s and 90s but it was also a financial failure.
The X-Type has been maligned by the press for sharing its basic structure with the Ford Mondeo sold in Europe and for not being a true Jaguar. Perhaps the X-Type has shown Jaguar the lower limit for stretching its brand. But the X-Type is a good car. Model Lineup. The 2007 Jaguar X-Type comes in just two models: the sedan and the wagon.
